Improved PMO Tracking

Building on its healthcare success and with a new initiative to diversify its business model, Novation determined they needed a more sophisticated way to track the activity of their Project Management Office (PMO). A variety of IT, business intelligence, ecommerce, and infrastructure programs are managed by the PMO. Novation examined a number of software options and chose PowerSteering because of its flexibility and adaptability, visual reporting capabilities, incremental deployment method, and emphasis on rapid adoption. PowerSteering supports the PMO’s financial and project cost tracking, status reports, and issue/risk management.

Streamlined Process Management

Prior to the implementation of PowerSteering, Novation relied on an assortment of MS Word documents, MS Excel spreadsheets and other tools that required Project Managers to make manual updates. Not surprisingly, this was time consuming and burdensome on the staff. With automated and consolidated status reporting, projects are now proactively managed, available in the formats desired and include the information needed for successful daily operations. PowerSteering reports are also popular with Novation’s executives who see the information they want in the views they prefer, aided by sophisticated graphics.
