Forrester Recognizes Upland in Now Tech: Mobile Engagement Automation, Q2 2020 Report

By: Jed Alpert, EVP and GM of CXM at Upland Software

Today, I’m pleased to announce that Forrester Research Inc. has recognized Upland Software as one of the 25 vendors in the Now Tech: Mobile Engagement Automation, Q2 2020 report.

Now more than ever, it’s crucial that brands develop authentic relationships with consumers, delivering experiences that people want and value. This is why mobile engagement automation (MEA) has become a game changer for marketers as more brands look to engage with their customers with the right message at the right moment in time along their customer journey. As Upland continues to drive excellence in customer experience management to our customers, we’re proud to have been recognized by Forrester in the mobile engagement automation category.

Mobile remains a critical part of our customer experience management (CXM) strategy and is exemplified by our acquisition of Localytics earlier this year. We recognize that customer experience will remain a top priority for enterprises to differentiate now and in the future. That’s why we’re hanging our hat on helping brands constantly arrive at the next best action for customer experiences – based on data and intelligence, and then acting on it with personalization and engagement capabilities across the customer lifecycle. Today, Upland’s CXM Cloud enables brands to deliver omnichannel experiences and capture actionable insights through outcome-driven conversations that are dynamic, personalized, and engaging.

About the Forrester Now Tech: Mobile Engagement Automation, Q2 2020 Report

In the report, Forrester defines MEA as, “Technology that uses real-time and contextual insights to proactively engage with known users in the appropriate mobile moment across the customer lifecycle via a mobile device.”

Forrester based its analysis of the MEA market on two factors: market presence and message formats supported. Upland was noted in the report for its SMS, push, and niche capabilities, however the cloud-based enterprise software company’s multichannel, real-time solutions span the entire customer journey, and also include email, MMS, RCS, and wallet.

For marketers considering a MEA solution, look for a vendor that can scale to provide multiple messaging formats across the customer lifecycle and that will work with your existing (and future) martech stack.

We’d like to thank Forrester for recognizing us in this report, and our team and customers for making this possible. You can get a complimentary copy of Forrester’s Now Tech: Mobile Engagement Automation, Q2 2020 report here.
