Voto Latino Finds Text Messaging to be an Effective Way to Register New Voters

Voto Latino wanted to take advantage of National Voter Registration Day on September 27th to make a big push to register as many voters as they could. They broadcast across all their digital platforms, directing their constituents to their online voter registration tool. Across social media, on text message, and on their website, Voto Latino urged their supporters to take action.  


The day was a huge success, with hundreds of people registering from Voto Latino’s push. Voto Latino found that SMS was the most effective way to encourage registration.
