Product Lifecycle Status Definitions

We support your software investments with long product lifecycles while also helping you meet demands for innovation. Clearly identifying a product’s current lifecycle stages makes it easier for you to proactively plan and manage the transition to more modern technologies.

Active
Active development and support

Most current product that is fully supported and continuously enhanced, including twice-yearly regular feature releases.

Products in this stage are eligible for:

  • New license purchases
  • Training programs
  • OL Care contract purchase and renewals
Maintenance Mode
End of development with continued support

The product is no longer under active development or feature enhancements, but patches may be released for major bugs and critical issues.

  • Products in this stage remain eligible* for:
    Technical support with a valid OL Care contract
    Training programs
    New license purchase
    OL Care renewals

Recommendation: Begin evaluating migration paths for transition planning.

End of Sales (EOS)
Early-stage end of life with ongoing support

The product is being phased out and approaching end of life. It remains supported until the end-of-life date for customers with a valid OL Care contract but will not receive new enhancements or functionality improvements.

Products in this stage may be eligible for OL Care renewals but are no longer available for:

  • New license purchases
  • Training

Recommendation: Actively assess migration options to alternative solutions.

End of Life (EOL)
Discontinued and end of support

The product is discontinued and has reached its final milestone.

Products in this stage are no longer eligible for:

  • Technical support
  • New license purchase
  • Training programs
  • OL Care contract purchase or renewals

Recommendation: Migrate to a current solution to access new capabilities and continued support.
