Leading global manufacturer utilizes Upland’s Ultriva Lean Execution Suite to successfully deploy unique, innovative Lean enterprise transformation.

AUSTIN, Texas, June, 2017 — Upland Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: UPLD) a leader in cloud-based Enterprise Work Management software, today announced Upland’s Ultriva Lean Execution Suite along with customer Trane Inc., a subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand and leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and services, have been selected as recipients of an SDCE 100 Award for 2017  by Supply & Demand Chain Executive.

The SDCE 100 is an annual list of 100 great supply chain projects that demonstrate ideal examples of supply chain solution and service providers that help customers and clients achieve excellence.

“Our goal with 2017’s Top 100 is to shine the spotlight on successful and innovative transformation projects that deliver bottom-line value to small, medium, and large enterprises across the supply chain,” said Ronnie Garrett, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “The selected projects can serve as a roadmap for supply chain executives looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations.”

The award-winning project consisted of a three-phased strategic initiative to establish Lean Supply, Lean Distribution, and Lean Factory across Trane’s five manufacturing plants. The initiative produced a 98% RFID scan success rate, eliminated material stock-outs, and produced a 25% reduction in inventory.

“Upland’s Ultriva Lean Execution Suite applications have played an instrumental role in helping Trane achieve world-class Lean Supply, Lean Distribution, and Lean Factory capabilities across our enterprise,” said Robert River, Director Supply & S&IOP, Residential HVAC & Supply at Ingersoll Rand. “This project combined Lean best practices with advanced IT solutions to enable and sustain Lean enterprise transformation. The benefits we’ve experienced have equipped Trane to remain competitive and look to the future with a renewed sense of innovation within our processes.”

“Our close-working relationship with Trane exemplifies the power of Ultriva’s customer-driven innovation, a cornerstone of Upland Software’s Customer Success Program,” said Frank Kapper, General Manager of Ultriva at Upland Software. “Together, Trane and Upland have produced a great industry example of Demand Driven Manufacturing and Demand Driven Supply Chain.”
