Context

As a part of the marketing strategy for Frontier Developments’ new game, Jurassic World Evolution, email was used to support pre-orders of the game ahead of its launch.

What data was used?

Frontier Developments emailed those contacts who had subscribed to receive email communications on the Jurassic World Evolution website.

What makes this a performing campaign?

This campaign was strategically developed to promote the launch of Jurassic World Evolution. The game coincided with the launch of the latest blockbuster movie in the Jurassic World franchise – Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

The email was developed using a branded email template that Frontier Developments designed and built in-house. The campaign made use of the iconic T-Rex to attract subscribers’ attention. It also linked recipients to the latest game trailer and used exclusive offers to promote pre-orders of the game.

The results

Delivered to over 37K subscribers, the campaign has already seen a 47% open rate and a 53% CTOR. The trailer was also a success, achieving nearly 1M views on YouTube.
