Conference season is upon us, marketers! The coming weeks will be filled with illuminating talks, great networking opportunities, mountains of swag, and (sometimes stale) muffins.
But it’s hard to navigate during these jam-packed conferences, and decide which sessions to attend, where to go for a coffee, what happy hours spots to check out, and where to get a decent meal.
That’s why, in anticipation of next week’s MarTech event in San Francisco, we’re providing you with a map and guide to the best nearby spots. Feel free to share this with your colleagues and other attendees!
Monday, March 30th
1. Get Settled • 12-6 p.m.
Get settled in your hotel room and, before the registration and reception, get right into the San Francisco vibe by hopping on a cable car at Powell and Market. Or, get your souvenir shopping out of the way and stroll through Union Square, the shopping mecca of the city.
2. Grab a Bite • 7-9 p.m.
After joining other conference attendees at the registration and conference opening reception, grab Italian food with some of your new friends at Barbacco at 220 California Street (see map).
Tuesday, March 31
1. Dedicated to Caffeinated • 7-9 a.m.
Before a long day of brain-bending events, grab a New Orleans iced coffee (or two) from the famous (and super hip) Blue Bottle Coffee at 66 Mint Street.
2. Enjoy Your Sessions! • 9 a.m.-4:45 p.m.
Attend as many sessions as you can, and say hi to the vendors (we’re at booth 315!). We’re particularly excited for Mayur Gupta’s talk, “Putting the Human in Your Marketing Technology Stack” at 4:20PM.
Want a sneak peak? He shared his insights on technology stacks in our whitepaper, The Future of Marketing Technology.
3. Feel the Fusion • 7-9 p.m.
For dinner, consider checking out E&O Kitchen and Bar for an Asian fusion feast. The corn fritters and drunken noodles are our favorites!
Wednesday, April 1st
1. Immerse • 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Immerse yourself in the MarTech conference and soak up everything you can on this final day. Your lunch and breakfast are provided, and there are lots of great sessions to choose from. Glean what you can from the speakers, and network your head off.
2. Grab Grub and a Night Cap • 5 p.m.-?
Grab a quick burger at Salt House, then head to Bourbon & Branch for a unique and unforgettable nightcap. Bourbon & Branch provides a glimpse into the 1920’s and the era of Prohibition. You’ll experience the ambiance of that time in an actual speakeasy that operated illegally at this location from 1921 to 1933. But don’t forget to review the house rules before entering…
