Australian-listed IT and business solutions company UXC Limited has received a proposal from global IT services provider, Computer Sciences Corp (CSC), to purchase the shares of UXC Limited, for a total of approximately AU$428 million. Although it is pending approvals, Cris Nicolli, managing director of UXC, said the combined CSC-UXC would be among the region’s largest IT services companies, based on revenues.
Why is this great for PSA customers?
UXC Eclipse, part of UXC Limited, is the PSA reseller in Australasia. UXC Limited at $480 million USD in revenues and 3,000 employees is a large partner. The jump to being almost $12 billion in revenues and over 70,000 employees, should the purchase be approved, will lead to great things for PSA customers with a larger installation and support organization as well as expanded offerings.
