This Aerospace Manufacturing Company (AMC) is engaged in the Defense and Commercial Aerospace markets, with business in four areas: aero-engines, aero-structures, rockets/space and specialty products.

The Challenge

AMC was seeking a best-of-breed commercial off-the-shelf (“COTS”) software solution to support a well-defined set of business and technology requirements forming the foundation of their ‘Supplier Management System’ (“SMS”).

Our Solution

AMC chose Ultriva’s Collaborative Supply Portal solution due to the ease of integration with their Line-of-Business ERP systems. Now their material management organizations are provided with a powerful set of software tools that would enable real-time collaboration with their supply chain partners.

The Result

AMC has significantly reduced raw, work-in-process (WIP) and finished goods (FG) inventories, while at the same time eliminating stock out situations and expediting fees. In addition, the transition from reactive to proactive management processes have freed up valuable resources allowing AMC’s team to spend more time on strategic sourcing and other continuous improvement related initiatives.
