When and Where is Dreamforce 2024 Being Held? 

This year’s Dreamforce event will be held from September 17-19, 2024 in the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA. San Francisco is in fact where Dreamforce has been hosted since 2003, and it also happens to be home to the company’s headquarters. So while not much will change on that front, this year’s event promises to repeat last year’s focus on the impact of AI on sales. 

Dreamforce 2024 is all about AI

Dreamforce 2024 is a global technology conference hosted by Salesforce that brings together business leaders, developers, and technology enthusiasts from around the world. The main theme of the event revolves around innovation, transformation, and the future of work. It highlights the latest trends in technology, such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and customer experience, and how these advancements are shaping industries and driving business success.

While the specifics haven’t been announced yet as for what innovations we will be hearing about during the show, chances are we will be getting an insightful look into impactful innovations in the realm of AI!

What’s on this year’s agenda?

Traveling to San Francisco and Dreamforce 2024

If you haven’t been to Dreamforce or San Francisco before, you might be wondering what the area is like and what there is to do nearby. To help you feel more comfortable and excited for Dreamforce 2024, here are a few travel tips to keep in mind.

Is SOMA Safe? 

Many people don’t know that San Francisco itself is made up of a collection of neighborhoods, each one quite distinct and unique. Moscone Center is located in the SOMA (or South of Market Street) neighborhood. SOMA has become one of San Francisco’s most important neighborhoods, boasting a strong financial district, and a gathering space for the arts and culture. 

Due to some negative publicity and an obvious homelessness problem, people tend to overstate public safety concerns in San Francisco. However, SOMA is a relatively safe area in the city, meaning you should keep your wits about you and take precautions as you would in any city. Walking to the conference and back, however, shouldn’t be an issue, especially during daylight hours.  

One helpful tip with dealing with people on the street in San Francisco in general is to avoid physical contact, and don’t take anything from anyone. People will often offer you something, so they have an excuse to follow you around and ask for money.

What is there to do nearby Dreamforce 2024? 

We’ll be getting into some of the highlights of the conference soon, but before that, you might like to know what some of the top things to do in the area are. As mentioned, SOMA itself has a variety of entertainment and cultural options, including the iconic Salesforce Tower. One of the top things to do in SOMA is to take a break from the busyness of the conference and stop by the Matreon Shopping Mall or have a seat at the Yerba Buena Gardens and take in the scenery. 

If you are visiting for a longer stay and have extra time to kill, the Museum of Modern Art makes for an excellent visit nearby.  

Things to do further away from Dreamforce 2024 

Of course, San Francisco has much to offer, and one of the benefits of being in SOMA (or an adjacent neighborhood) is the proximity to even more iconic locations. We couldn’t think of a better location for Dreamforce 2024, as it’s not far from top spots like the idyllic Union Square, with all its incredible eating options and fantastic shopping. Other top attractions you would want to add to your itinerary if you are going to be in San Francisco for a while are the Ferry Building, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Chinatown.
