Yes! If you currently have a fax number, there’s no need for you to change it. (We wouldn’t want you to have to reprint all those business cards or update your online profiles unless you absolutely must!) 

You can transfer your current fax number to InterFAX through a process called “porting.” This simple, convenient process transfers an existing fax number from your current provider to InterFAX. Porting a number is a great solution that prevents service disruptions and helps the process of changing providers go as smoothly as possible. 

How do I port my number? 

  1. Reach out to our Support team via email and they will provide you with a porting request form. 
  2. Complete the form and submit it. 
  3. Sit back and let us do the rest! Your InterFAX support representative will work directly with your original carrier to transfer the number. 

How long does it take to port your existing fax number? 

Porting a number usually takes place within 1-4 weeks after the form has been submitted to the carrier. Your InterFAX support representative will keep you updated on the progress. 

How much does it cost to port a number? 

Each port request incurs a one-time fee of $20, no matter how many lines it includes.
