This election promises to be one of the most divisive in our nation’s history – and one that may come down to a razor-thin margin in a few crucial states. But millions of Americans may not have a voice, simply because they’re not registered to vote.
Voto Latino wanted to take advantage of National Voter Registration Day on September 27th to make a big push to register as many voters as they could. They broadcast across all their digital platforms, directing their constituents to their online voter registration tool. Across social media, on text message, and on their website, Voto Latino urged their supporters to take action.
Results
The day was a huge success, with hundreds of people registering from Voto Latino’s push. Voto Latino found that SMS was the most effective way to encourage registration. By combining the reach of social media with the urgency of mobile, Voto Latino was able to engage their constituents and move them to action.
