When it comes to managing the RFP process, businesses are constantly looking for a competitive advantage to rapidly and correctly respond to inquiries. We believe Generative AI can help enable leaders to dynamically generate sales proposals at the speed and precision they need in today’s market.
The Upland solution, Qvidian, helps enable users to pair their business’ approved content library with the dynamic flexibility provided by Generative AI in order to deliver accurate responses that are crucial to winning business. We believe this AI-driven approach can help businesses save their high-value and knowledgeable employees hours of work, while also helping to increase their win rates, response times and output volume.
This AI-fueled approach to RFPs led us to partner with IBM and embed IBM watsonx.aiTM underpinned by Llama 3, to help enhance our clients’ productivity and save them valuable time. We believe that with watsonx.ai “under the hood,” we can help deliver relevant, instantly accessible content to users that is designed to make it easier for them to respond to complex RFPs faster.
Embedding IBM watsonx.ai within Qvidian AI Assist enables RFP response personalization
The Qvidian development team worked closely with IBM Ecosystem Engineering to integrate watsonx.ai within Qvidian’s AI Assist feature set, designed to help users maximize efficiency by enabling them to analyze and automate responses to RFPs. The solution also allows users to create dynamic client-specific and personalized sales proposals. All while leveraging the organization’s data library to address relevance, accuracy, and compelling value propositions at the click of a button.
IBM watsonx.ai enables Qvidian customers to revise library answers and content, helping users to make content more persuasive and personalized. In addition, the enhanced solution creates dynamic requirements-based answers to minimize “canned” responses. Users will have access to prompts examples on common tasks, and the ability to create, customize, save, and share prompts. For example, with watsonx.ai working in the backend, users can upload their RFP and then query against it asking questions like what are the proposal requirements, key dates, does the contract have IP clauses, and what are the customer’s primary goals?
With these enhancements in place, we aim to increase our clients’ win rates by over 30 percent while reducing the time to answer RFPs by over 40 percent.
How the Upland Qvidian and IBM collaboration is committed to innovation
The Qvidian and IBM relationship combines Qvidian’s 40+ years of industry expertise in the proposal automation industry with the expertise of IBM in AI governance and data privacy. Together, we can create an even more compelling solution for businesses that regularly respond to RFPs and generate sales proposals but also value data protection and want to address governance.
Our collaboration with IBM helps position us to increase productivity and provide global organizations of any size with AI technology that helps them compete in an accelerating business climate.
